Chicken Digging

Another sunny day meant another lovely day in the garden. After having had my flooring redone a few weeks back I had lots of wood offcuts sat around so decided to use them for some veg plots in the garden. Of course the chickens decided they would lend me a hand and as you can see from the photos they did a wonderful job of turning the soil while scrumming for worms!

This morning while filling the ducklings’ water bowls I heard a quack for the duckling coop. I go running to see which little one is quacking at me and they all immediately shut up. Each time I go back to filling the water they quack again and eventually I catch Sapphire in the act of a full on girlie quack. So good news is that at least one of Bumble’s babies is a girl 😀

Whilst I was busy in the garden the cats were having a very hard day themselves – curling up asleep on my bed snoring for Britain!
